MIS are made of people, computers, procedures, databases, interactive query facilities and so on. They are intended to be evolutionary/adaptive and easy for people to use. These information systems are intended to be helpful to business organizations. but are the organizations becoming too far advanced for some of the workers? are they spending too much money on making sure that they have the highest technology to store the information and so forth? should every employee have some type of training in this area to better understand how these systems help to better organizations and compaines become more efficient?

Two years ago I entered college to obtain my degree after being out of school for more than 20 years. I found that in my courses it didnt matter what age we were, all professors assumed everyone was knowledgable in the different programs, especially in Word. Do they expect the older generation just to know and pick up these programs and the knowledge on how to use a computer at home?
